Overview:
The redesigned Cary-Lift 154 material handler is more productive, easier to service and more cost-effective than ever before. Equipped with a unique lift arm design for full front visibility, the 154 also features wider lift arms and front balers for enhanced load stability.
Features
Engine
The 154 is powered by a 160-HP Cummins QSB6.7 Tier 3 diesel engine with full electronic control and protection. The unit includes a hydraulically driven and variable speed fan cooling package and engine block heater as standard equipment.
IQAN System
IQAN electro-hydraulic control system offers infinite variable control, individual operator settings and onboard diagnostics for consistent, productive operation.
Joystick Control
A multi-function joystick provides intuitive fingertip controls to efficiently shift gears and control the hydraulics, allowing for non-stop work without having to change hand positions or let go of the steering wheel.
Overhead Lift Arm
The unique overhead lift arm design gives the operator full front visibility when lifting, placing or transporting loads. The arms are mounted behind the cab, rather than in front where they would obstruct the forward view.
Frame
Unlike other forward-reaching, articulated loaders, the 154 has a heavy-duty, welded box-section frame design that allows it to take full loads into sharp turns without sacrificing load capacity or stability.
Wheel Base
Wheel base of just 10 feet provides a tight turning radius of 16 feet, 7 inches.
Steering
Excellent maneuverability thanks to 4-wheel drive with 2-wheel, 4-wheel and crab hydraulic power steering modes.
Hydraulic Frame Sway
Hydraulic frame sway control and side shift stabilize loads by leveling the lifting frame when driving on uneven ground. The sway cylinder moves 8 degrees both right and left of center.
90-Degree Fork Tilt Down
Cary-Lift forks are capable of tilting down 90 degrees for specialized lifting tasks, such as scooping pipe out of railroad gondola car.
Reach
The 154 is capable of reaching the forks out an extra 4 feet without having to reposition the machine. It offers a maximum lift height of 14 feet.
Centralized Lubrication
Routine maintenance is simplified by a centralized lubrication system that provides one access point for most greasing needs.
Fuel Tanks
Balanced dual fuel tanks offer capacity of 79 gallons (299 L) for longer operating intervals, along with a single refueling port as ground level.
Operator Cab
A sliding door offers quick access to the comfortable, air-conditioned cab, which includes a tilt/telescoping steering column and swiveling, adjustable suspension seat with padded armrests and lumbar support.
Lighting and Windows
High-output LED lighting and large tinted safety glass windows contribute to better visibility.
