Husqvarna Dual Drive Technology™ a flatter floor finished faster

Husqvarna Dual Drive Technology™ is a patented design in which the two separate motors for the planetary head and grinding discs are operated independently of each other. This unique feature allows for an almost unlimited combination of settings and excellent control of the process.

Dual Drive Technology™ allows the planetary head and grinding discs to be set in both counter direction and in the same direction rotation. Same direction rotation enables a more efficient process with extremely high production rates and a flatter finish. The infographics below explain the simple physics behind the Dual Drive effect:

Counter rotation

When the machine is moved forward, the “middle zone” is ground more thoroughly than the “outer zones”. The end result is a deeper cut through the “middle zone” and a shallower cut in the “outer zones”. This is a direct result of where the diamonds have spent the most time.

Same direction rotation

When the machine is moved forward, the “middle zone” is still ground more thoroughly than the “outer zones”, but the difference is less than with counter direction. This produces more even results.

Higher production rate

Dual Drive Technology™ enables the operator to optimize the grinding process to the floor conditions and if suitable use a more aggressive grinding mode to increase the production rate.
